Ixtli, a Newcastle Born artist with only one central incisor, has a strong interest in free software, veganism, sousveillance, surveillance, identity and the colour orange.
Ixtli’s work covers themes such as digital surveillance/sousveillance, repetition, data reuse and repetition. An on-going project, Future Soon, is a self-exploration, in documenting identity in the digital age and its divide from the identities held in the ultimate reality, focusing on data trails and intentional data production.
NoFacesForNames is an installation highlighting packets of the artist’s personal data, processed and presented in an immersive sphere. The data, collected from fitness trackers, mobile phones, antisocial networks, wearable cameras and light switches, is printed out and given audio inside of the sphere.
